About Jeroen

Security engineering interests, hands-on methodology, and the reasoning behind this portfolio.

MY STORY

Curious about how security controls work — and whether they actually work.

I am developing my Security Engineering skills with an emphasis on the Microsoft ecosystem: device management, identity and access, endpoint security and investigation. I use structured learning, authorized lab environments and case studies to connect concepts to practical results.

The purpose of this website is straightforward: help a recruiter or engineering manager understand my hands-on development without having to browse a large technical repository. The documentation says what I did, what I observed, and where verification is incomplete.

MY METHOD

How I document security engineering work

01

Scope

State the security objective and the authorized test environment.

02

Implement

Record the actions and configuration examined or performed.

03

Verify

Separate observed device behaviour from assumptions and planned checks.

04

Communicate

Explain the outcome, unresolved risks and lessons for the next iteration.

WHERE I AM HEADED

Microsoft Security Engineering · Blue Team

I am focusing on Microsoft Intune and Entra ID practical labs, and expanding toward vulnerability management, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, KQL and Purple Team validation. Those later areas are a roadmap, not claims of completed experience.
